This is one of my favorite ways to eat tofu and it's nice to toss in to salads or other dishes to increase the protein. Lots of different ways to bake it.
Generally want to get a block of extra firm tofu (i really like what they sell at Costco) and freeze or press it for at least 15 minutes and press it dry. Cut into cubes.
- Combine in a bowl:
- 1 T soy sauce (or amino acids)
- 1 T olive oil
- a bit of salt if not using soy sauce
- garlic powder
- black pepper
- whatever else goes with what's cooking
- Mix the cubed tofu in that. Then sprinkle:
- 1 Tbsp corn starch
- And put onto baking sheet (parchment paper helps cleanup)
- Bake at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes, turning once.
